I made a blog.

"How revolutionary!" I can hear you say.

I know.  But I decided to do it anyway.  Wouldn't it be nice to write in a more narrative style, rather than the clean and organized, businesslike manner I'm used to?  So this is going to be a way to let meaningless, context-free ramblings escape that have been bouncing around for a long time.  Maybe if they land here, I can think about other, more pertinent things that may actually help my life as well as my friends' and family's. 

They say you die two deaths.  Once when your body dies and you return to the earth (or get launched into space - awesome!), and again when someone speaks your name for the last time.  This blog is an attempt to postpone that second one.

So here it sits.  We'll see how far this goes.  I like how it's here and not on Facebook or someplace more public.  People that come here to read do it on purpose instead of having it wedged into their newsfeed^tm, and that makes me feel better about writing whatever I want here.
